There were lots of enthusiastic Putnam supporters sporting red shirts in the crowd of about 1,000 people , at the Politics in the Park political rally in Lakeland Thursday evening, Oct. 16. And they made their presence known by giving Congressman Adam Putnam 62 percent of the votes in a straw poll conducted by the Polk County Supervisor of Elections. Five-hundred-eighty-nine people voted in the contest for the 12th Congressional District.
